Burst pipe rebuilds · McDonough, GA

Burst pipe reconstruction in McDonough, GA.

Georgia freezes are rare enough to catch people off guard. When a pipe in an attic, crawlspace or exterior wall splits and thaws, the water usually reaches more than one room. We rebuild each of them.

A burst pipe rarely stays in one room.

A split supply line puts out a lot of water fast. In a typical McDonough home that means wet drywall and insulation in an exterior wall, saturated carpet and pad, swollen laminate or LVP, water-soaked base cabinets, and a stained ceiling on the floor below. Two bathrooms on a shared wall, or a bathroom above a living room, is a common pattern.

We write each room as its own section of the scope, so nothing is combined or missed, and build the whole thing to your carrier's approved estimate. Insulation removed during drying, baseboard in a connected room, flooring that runs into the hallway: when the estimate leaves them out, we send the adjuster documentation for review.

After approval, a project manager is assigned and we meet to go over the schedule and your selections. We hold Georgia GC license GCCO008663 and work across McDonough and Henry County.

What the rebuild includes

Typical burst pipe reconstruction.

The items that show up in most McDonough freeze-loss scopes.

Exterior walls

Insulation and drywall removed during drying go back in, with the wall taped, textured and painted to match the rest of the room.

Ceilings below

When the pipe was in the attic or on the second floor, the ceiling underneath is replaced and blended to the existing texture.

Flooring

Carpet and pad, laminate or LVP replaced and carried through connected rooms. You choose the selection; upgrades are priced on a separate change order.

Base cabinets

Cabinet runs the water reached are replaced, with counters, sinks and plumbing reconnected.

Trim, doors & paint

Baseboard, casing and doors replaced where needed, then paint to blend each repaired wall with the ones around it.

Fixtures & appliances

Toilets, vanities, washers and dishwashers detached for the work and reset when it is done.

Common questions

McDonough questions, answered.

A pipe froze and burst. Who do I call first?
Shut off the water at the main, then call a plumber and a water drying company. Once the home is dry, call us for the rebuild.
The water went through two rooms and the ceiling below. Is that one scope or three?
One scope, written room by room. Each room is its own section so the work is clear and nothing gets combined.
Do you replace insulation in exterior walls?
Yes. Insulation removed during drying is part of the reconstruction scope.
Can I pick different flooring than I had?
Yes. If the flooring has to be replaced, you choose your selection, and upgrades are priced on a separate change order.
How do I keep it from happening again?
Insulate exposed pipes in the attic, crawlspace and garage, let faucets on exterior walls drip on freezing nights, open sink cabinet doors, and disconnect garden hoses.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Peridot Assist holds Georgia General Contractor License GCCO008663.
