Water heater closets & platforms
Drywall and insulation along the bottom of the closet and nearby walls, the platform, drain pan and closet door. We detach and reset the heater when it can stay, or coordinate with your plumber on the new unit.
A failed tank or a backed-up main line takes out drywall, flooring, baseboard and often cabinets. Once the plumber and the cleanup company are finished, we put the rooms back together, a few minutes from our Fayetteville office.
Tell us about your project — we’ll respond the same business day.
A water heater can empty its whole tank onto the floor and keep refilling until the supply is shut off. Most sit in a garage, closet, attic or basement, so the water runs into whatever is next to them: the closet walls, the hallway floor, the ceiling below. A sewer line backup is worse. Dirty water comes up through floor drains, tubs and toilets, and the cleanup company has to cut drywall higher and pull more flooring and cabinetry than a clean leak of the same size.
Either way, by the time we arrive the plumber has made the repair, the cleanup company has signed off, and you are looking at open walls and bare subfloor. That is where Peridot Assist starts. We measure every affected room, write the scope item by item, and rebuild under Georgia GC license GCCO008663.
Sharpsburg is a short drive from our office at 210 Trilith Parkway in Fayetteville, so walkthroughs and site visits fit easily into your week.
The items that usually show up in a water heater or sewer backup scope.
Drywall and insulation along the bottom of the closet and nearby walls, the platform, drain pan and closet door. We detach and reset the heater when it can stay, or coordinate with your plumber on the new unit.
After a main line backup, drywall is cut higher and carpet, pad, flooring and base cabinets usually come out. We rebuild every affected wall, floor and cabinet run and reset or replace toilets.
New flooring carried through the garage entry, hallway, closets and connected rooms so there is no visible seam where the loss stopped.
Replacement of cabinet runs and vanities the water reached, with counters, sinks and plumbing reconnected.
When the heater is in an attic or on a second floor, the ceiling and walls underneath are part of the scope, matched to the existing texture and paint.
On a claim, the scope is built to your carrier's approved estimate. When items are missing, we send the adjuster photos, measurements and pricing for review.
Peridot Assist is a licensed Georgia general contractor. We perform reconstruction.
We do not perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, smoke or odor treatment, or emergency board-up. That work is completed by licensed specialty firms before we begin. We start once a property has been dried, cleared, and released for rebuild.
We cover Sharpsburg and the surrounding Coweta County and Peachtree City area.
